That figure stems from a report that Nokia has just ordered 100,000 netbooks from Taiwanese ODM Compal. The said number of Booklet 3G mini laptops should be with Nokia by year’s end which will then, in turn, hand over the pressure to the mobile phone giant to dispose off these into the market. With a reported retail price of €575 or roughly $818 in US dollars, this will indeed be a challenge as most netbooks nowadays are definitely priced lower than that.September 08, 2009
