Edge 500 by GARMIN


Garmin has unveiled Edge 500, a new sleek and lightweight GPS-based cycling computer for performance-driven cyclists, featuring a high-sensitivity GPS receiver with HotFix that quickly acquires and maintains satellite reception. The Edge 500 is ability to tracks the speed, distance, time, GPS position, elevation, calories burned, climb and descent, even it has equips a barometric altimeter for pinpoint changes in elevation.

In addition, you can also pair wirelessly the Edge 500 with Garmin speed/cadence sensors and even to benefit the advanced heart rate-based calorie computation when used with a Garmin heart rate monitor. The device has IPX7 standards for waterproof and offers up 18 hours of battery life. Other features include low-profile, USB interface for easy charging and data transfer, quarter-turn mount that fits easily on the stem or handlebars.
The Garmin Edge 500 will be available in quarter-fourth of 2009 at an MSRP $249.99, or $349.99 when bundled with a heart rate monitor and speed/cadence sensor.
