News and Review Gadget Technology: Review Asus 4 Smartphone ZenFone 2 Series. At CES 2015 in January last, Asus announced the trio smartphone Zenfone 2 series globally. They are Zenfone 2 ZE551ML, Zenfone 2 ZE550ML and Zenfone 2 ZE500CL. Processors used a trio of smartphones is the latest Intel processors are capable of working on 64-bit computing. The Zenfone 2 ZE551ML, Zenfone 2 ZE550ML are equipped with 5.5 inches screens but not the same for resolution screen the
ZE551ML is higher than ZE550ML and Zenfone 2 ZE500CL equipped with 5 inches with a resolution of 720p only. Not only that, The Trio Series of Zenfone 2 offer the big capacity of storage started size 16 Gigabyte and the lowest RAM is 2 GB while the highest is 4 GB RAM for the highest version of ZE551ML which also the highest model of Intel Atom Z3580 Quadcore 2.3GHz.
Dimension and Weight:
The Dimension of both 5.5 inch screen series (Zenfone 2 ZE551ML, Zenfone 2 ZE550ML) are the same. They are 152.5 x 77.2 x 10.9 mm (6.00 x 3.04 x 0.43 in) with same weight 170 grams. Different with the Zenfone 2 ZE500CL, this is the smaller one because having the 5 inch screen and its 148.1 x 71.5 x 10.9 mm (5.83 x 2.81 x 0.43 in) with 155 grams.
Display:
At the display area The fourth Asus Zenfone 2 series are equipped with the same IPS Capacitive Touchscreen but each model has different pixel density. Both Zenfone 2 ZE551ML model (4GB and 2GB RAM) equipped with high res at 1080 x 1920 pixels (~403 ppi pixel density). Zenfone 2 ZE550ML and Zenfone 2 ZE500CL are allotted 720 x 1280 pixels but the ZE500CL model has the highest pixel density at 294 ppi. The both models are also armed with Gorila Glass 3 protection and multitouch supported.
Processor, RAM, and Storage:
The first model of Zenfone 2 ZE551ML, there are two versions based on the processor embedded, Intel Atom Z3580 quad-core 2.3GHz with 4GB RAM and Intel Atom Z3560 quad-core 1.8GHz with 2GB of RAM while the Zenfone 2 ZE550ML uses Intel Atom Z3560 quad-core 1.8GHz with 2GB of RAM and 16 GB Internal Storage. Zenfone 2 ZE500CL Intel Atom Z2560 - Dual-core 1.6 GHz with RAM 2GB and 16 GB internal storage. Armed with sophisticated processors made by Intel, the performance of various task (such multimedia and gaming perform) will be no doubt. Extensive
storage space with the smallest capacity of 16GB will spoil the user. User has more than enough storage to store data, images or video. Especially if you have a hobby of photographing no need to worry, all the models equipped with external storage up to 64GB.
Camera Features and sensors:
Main camera for highest series of Asus Fonepad 2 equipped with 13MP camera with also equipped with dual LED flash above and 5MP secondary cameras. In the other hand, The Asus Zenfone 2 ZE500CL model only equipped with 8MP and single LED Flash. Even so, the both cameras are featured with Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR and capability of 1080p@30fps video recording. Unfortunatly, the secondary camera doesn't equipped with LED Flash too.
All models of Asus Zenfone 2 are equipped with Accelerometer, proximity, compass but the ZE551ML only that has added with Gyro sensor.
Zenfone 2 offers two browser app Google Chrome and Asus Default Browser. For the performance when opening the desktop version of a website with a lot of content is still relatively smoothly, but if it is too much, of course performance will be reduced. ASUS browser is integrated with Do It Later, so when you find the article interesting but have not had time to read, just select the Read Later option. Features include complete as Incognito, Read later, Find on page, Share a link, Request desktop site, Close other tabs, Save for offline reading, Page info, and advanced settings such as General, Privacy & security, accessibility, Advance, bandwidth management, Labs and others. All models are also HTML 5 supported.
Comms and Connection:
Zenfone 2 ZE500CL comes with single SIM (Micro SIM) and the three others are Dual. Both models are armed with high speed GSM network at HSPA 42.2/5.76 Mbps and also LTE Cat4 150/50 Mbps. A Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Wi-Fi Direct and hotspot capability. Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and mini USB 2.0.
Battery:
Both highest models are powered with 3000 mAh and supported with Fast battery charging: 60% in 40 min. But the lowest model is equipped with 2500 mAh only. At least both model are generally has better durability for watching video and play music in long time.
The Plus:
Both has already use highest network at 3.5G and 4G LTE, New Design, and the quad core processor except ZE500CL model. High res Display with maximum protection of Gorila Glass 3. High res camera with 13MP and 8MP is more than enough.
The Minus:
It will be good if the 5MP front camera also equipped with LED flash
